STEVEN W. NOLES
Dr. Steven Noles, Psy.D. is
the founder of HeadsUp Sports Consulting and HeadsUpSports.com.
He has
worked as a "Performance Enhancement Consultant" for more than 20
years with an emphasis on helping clients develop specific sport and
life skills necessary to maximize their personal set of
strengths. A Certified Sports and Licensed Clinical Psychologist,
Dr.
Noles is a member of numerous professional organizations related to
sports and academic performance.
His
clients include college and high school
student-athletes and teams; he has consulted with male and females
athletes and teams (basketball, swimming & diving, golf, track
& field, soccer, tennis, baseball, softball, field hockey,
lacrosse, football, and cheerleading) from the America East, Atlantic
10, Big 10, Big East, Colonial, Ohio Valley, Old Dominion, and USA
South conferences.
Dr.
Noles developed and conducts team and individual evaluations relating
to performance enhancement and regularly consults with coaches,
athletes, and teams to help develop effective mental skills necessary
for more consistent and excellent performance.
Dr.
Noles is a graduate of the University of Richmond and received his
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium for
Professional
Psychology in 1983. Following graduation, he worked for five
years as a staff psychologist
in the US Navy. Beginning in 1988, he established a private practice in
Richmond, Virginia and currently he is a partner with Dominion
Behavioral
Healthcare. In addition, Dr. Noles serves as the Learning
Disability consultant to Hampden - Sydney College. He is married
and lives with his wife, Diana, and their two sons, Richard and
Russell, in Chesterfield, Virginia.
